How does it work?
Advance Camera makes every effort to provide a trouble free, fair, and effective repair process.

Here are the basic steps.

Step 1: Quote
Using the form on this page you provide us information about your camera and the problem you are experiencing. We respond with an estimate including a range of labor rates and prices for any required parts. With this information you decide if you wish to send the camera in for a free estimate.
Step 2: Estimate
We receive the camera and log it into our repair system. One of our expert technicians evaluates the unit and provides a more precise estimate of the labor and parts required to restore it to good working order.
Step 3: Approval
Our repair department contacts you with the details of the estimate. If you determine the repair is economical; you provide your authorization to begin the work. We collect a $40 repair deposit before servicing your camera.
Step 4: Repair
Our expert technicians perform the required work on your camera. Parts (if required) are ordered, received, and installed. From time to time additional problems are found which were not discovered during the initial free evaluation. In this situation the process returns to step 2 for re-estimate.
Step 5: Warranty
The repair is complete! Your camera is in good working order and now carries a 1 year Advance Camera warranty. We contact you, collect the remaining balance for the repair, and ship the unit back to you.
Is it worth repairing?
The judgment of whether a broken camera is worth repairing depends on a number of factors.

Economic:
  • How much did you pay for it?
  • How old is it?
  • How much would it cost to replace?

Personal:
  • Do you like the camera?
  • Are you familiar with using the camera?

People sometimes have a sentimental attachment to their cameras. There is also value in knowing how to use your camera. We can provide information, but deciding if it is worth repairing is completely up to you.
How long does it take?
Current estimated turn time from repair approval to return shipping is:

14-21 days

Lead time can be increased by parts delays or discovery of additional problems during the repair process. Every repair is different. Our goal is always to get your camera back to you in good working order as quickly as possible. We can work with urgent repairs, just let us know what you need.
