Our Story
Advance Camera was established by David Sleeth in 1990, and since we have continued to provide the highest quality repairs of photographic equipment.
Our technicians are highly skilled and take pride in their work. All of our technicians have many years of experience, working on a variety of analog and digital equipment.
Technicians
We have four full-time and two part-time technicians that repair photographic equipment such as analog and digital cameras, lenses, tripods, projectors, and binoculars.
Our founder and owner Dave works on everything! He works on older analog cameras, medium format cameras, tripods, binoculars, and more. He is also our Leica, Mamiya and Pentax medium format specialist.
Joe is our lens tech, working on both manual and digital lenses as well as Hasselblad and TLR cameras. He also works on sensor cleanings and micro adjustments.
Jodi is our digital tech. She works on the DSLR and mirrorless bodies that come into the shop as well as the modern, digital-styled 35mm cameras. She also works on sensor cleanings.
Bryan works on mechanical, analog 35mm cameras as well as projectors and some lighting equipment.
Paul is our Pentax specialist. He’s been working on Pentax cameras for over 20 years, having been trained in Denver and Japan, and working in their Atlanta location. He works on 35mm Pentax cameras and lenses.
Will is our newest tech! He is currently being trained by Paul on Pentax cameras and will work on a variety of analog cameras.
Our staff are always eager to help assist you with any photographic needs or problems. With the rapid advancement of technology, our staff have expertise in everything ranging from the newest in digital cameras to the oldest of analog equipment. Based on experience from a repair standpoint, the support staff is able to offer suggestions and information on all forms of photographic equipment while knowing what repair needs may arise in the future, setting us apart from a “big-box” store.

Used Photo Equipment: Sales & Consignment
Advance Camera is a great source for used photo equipment. All of our gear has been thoroughly checked out, cleaned, and tested before being put out for sale. Store stock equipment comes with a 1-year warranty. See our sales & consignment procedures are here!
Supporting educators and students
Advance Camera supports local high schools and universities by offering a 25% school discount on repairs and 15% on parts. When arranged, we offer on-site equipment pick up and service for local area schools. This includes enlargers, timers and lens repair, for schools that still offer traditional photo processing classes.
